About
I am a software engineer with decades of experience developing data-intensive software systems and applications. I am also the creator of bansko.digital, the site you are browsing right now.
My journey into programming began in the late 90s when, at the age of 12, I wrote my first lines of QBasic and Pascal. Born and raised in Bulgaria, after graduating from the American University in Bulgaria (AUBG) in 2010, I moved to Germany to complete my Master’s degree. I liked living in Germany so much that I decided to build my career and grow my family here. Many years later, Munich still remains my primary home for much of the year. 🥨
But that’s not the whole story. Keep reading …
In early 2021, I started work on my independent business, focusing on education (books, courses, etc) and building my own products and services. I have also been helping teams bring their ideas to market. One of these teams was IN2 Digital Innovations GmbH, which, I had worked for way way back (2010-2014), and which I later rejoined in 2024 as a Lead Software Engineer. We create great software and spend time aside on Open Web projects, such as Feedle. If you have an idea for a product or service, and need the right people to partner with, you cna come talk to us.
Why Bansko?
I was born, grew up, and studied my Bacherlors in Bulgaria. I have known Bansko since I was a child, but even in my wildest dreams, I would have never imagined its transofmration into a digital nomad hub. Living my comfortable (but boring) life in Munich, I was hesitant to pay a visit after so many years, but I am thankful to my wife for dragging me over in late 2023. We loved our experience so much that we kept coming back, slowly thinking about moving back to Bulgaria. After findign the right property, I am happy to say that this is closer to becoming a reality. I am looking forward to building a community of like-minded people in Bansko, and I hope you will join it.
